Problem Statement

Many rural communities in Sub-Saharan Africa lack access to clean, safe drinking water and adequate sanitation facilities. This deficiency leads to widespread waterborne diseases such as cholera and dysentery, which contribute to high mortality rates and poor health outcomes. In addition, the absence of proper sanitation exacerbates the spread of diseases and creates unhygienic living conditions.

Justification

Drilling deep wells provides a reliable source of clean water, significantly reducing the incidence of waterborne diseases. Improved sanitation facilities will also contribute to better hygiene practices, leading to enhanced health outcomes and overall quality of life. This project addresses a critical and fundamental need, helping to prevent disease and promote health in underserved rural areas.
